A pure expression of the swordsmith's craft, this Shirasaya katana strips away ornate mountings to let the blade speak for itself. Forged from T10 high carbon steel and clay tempered to reveal a real hamon, it is housed in a natural hardwood saya, embodying the elegance of simplicity that defines the Shirasaya tradition.

Blade
The blade is forged from T10 high carbon steel and clay tempered using traditional water-quenching methods, producing a genuine, naturally formed hamon line. Each blade is hand-ground and sharpened to a durable, cutting-ready edge. Overall length: 104cm. Blade length: 71cm.

Mountings
In keeping with the Shirasaya style, both the handle and saya are crafted from natural hardwood with a clean, unadorned finish. The handle offers a comfortable, secure grip without the need for wrapping or ray skin—ideal for storage, display, and the appreciation of the blade's pure form. The habaki is crafted from copper, adding a subtle yet refined accent at the blade's base.

Sword Maintenance
A katana consists of three components: blade, sheath, and accessories. To prevent rust, store your sword in a dry environment away from moisture, acids, and salts. Avoid touching the blade with bare hands, as natural skin oils and sweat can cause corrosion. For T10 high carbon steel blades, apply a light coat of oil regularly to protect the surface and preserve the edge.
